Detailed Restaurant Kitchen Cleaning Checklist

A restaurant’s kitchen will produce a tremendous amount of grime and dirt throughout the week. This means it’s important to take a step back and clean it professionally.

Here’s a detailed checklist for cleaning your restaurant kitchen.

Wipe the Grill and Countertops

Begin with the grill and countertops because these are put under the most amount of pressure year-round. They are going to collect a lot of waste and grime that has to be eradicated immediately. Use a powerful cleaner to get deeper into the crevices while working on the grill. This is the only way to make sure the grime stays away for good and doesn’t get into what you are cooking.

Wash All Cooking Utensils

The cooking utensils will have to be washed thoroughly using a potent cleaner. This is different than running it under a tap or using a dishwasher.

You want to properly handwash the utensils and make sure everything is as clean as possible.

Don’t forget to clean grease traps. Call a pro to clean it properly. You can call a reliable grease trap cleaning company with affordable rates.

Disinfect Cooking Surfaces

The cooking surfaces and/or prep areas will need to be disinfected. This is a must and is a great way to stay safe while cooking. Use a powerful disinfectant to get the job done.

Mop Floors

What about the flooring in your restaurant kitchen?

In general, you will want to broom the floor and get rid of all the waste particles that are present on the top surface. After doing this, you can take a wet mop to make sure everything looks good.

Organize Everything

You should look to organize the items present in your restaurant kitchen. This is going to vary in each kitchen, but the goal should be to comprehensively customize where each item goes. You can improve how your kitchen runs by doing something as simple as this during the cleaning process.

Use this checklist as a launching pad for a better-functioning restaurant. Sometimes, cleaning your kitchen can make a real difference to your bottom line.

Fun Family Activities to Enjoy on Maui

When traveling to the beautiful island of Maui with loved ones, you can create an itinerary consisting of all the fun family-friendly activities you would like to take advantage of. If you want to have a memorable trip with your loved ones, make sure to take advantage of the family activities listed below.

Surfing Lessons with a Pro Instructor

Are your children amazed by the surfers they see in the water? They may want to give surfing a try because they love how fun it looks. You can enjoy a learning experience while spending hours under the sun while learning to surf in the water. Surf instructors are available to teach tourists the basics. You may head over to the water near Cove Park where your instructor will show your family how to balance your bodies while on the surfboards. After mastering the balancing part, your instructor will get everyone in the water to test out some waves.

Snorkeling Tour

Go on a snorkeling tour with the family and enjoy an unforgettable experience where you will get to see all kinds of sea life. The Molokini Snorkeling Tour is one of several tours available. You can ride on a boat that will take you to Molokini Crater or even Turtle Town. You can get in the water and begin exploring the water to see all the beautiful fish, turtles, and other aquatic mammals. You just never know what you will see and find while snorkeling in Maui.

Ride a Submarine

If you want to see the very bottom of the ocean floor without feeling scared about running into sharks, consider taking a tour on a submarine. The submarine provides the best view of the ocean, allowing you to come extremely close to many aquatic mammals while still feeling safe and protected.

When you are planning a family-friendly trip to Maui, these are three of the activities you should do with your loved ones. You will have a good time learning to surf, snorkeling, and riding on a submarine.

Necklace & Stacked Rings: Clothed In Scarlet, Skirt: Urban Outfitters, Tank: Target, Denim Shirt: Akira, Sunglasses: Aldo

Obsessed with collar necklaces these days and I love the feminine touch this one adds to the outfit. Ive been into pairing tougher fabrics with lighter accessories, so I love how the leather skirt juxtaposes the delicate rings & necklace!

What have you guys been up to?? Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

High-Waisted Bikini Bottom: Urban Outfitters, Bathing suit top: Target, Arrow Ring: Bianca Milov, Gold Rings: Clothed In Scarlet, Sunglasses: Aldo

I spent the entire weekend on the beach in Malibu. My days were filled with great friends, lots of Bon Appetit magazines, and tons of sunshine. Sometimes I cant believe I live in California and can do things like this for the weekend! I will admit that I spent most of my time under an umbrella or in the water I hate sitting out in the sun, I tan waaaaay too quickly!

Also, Im so excited to share this bikini with you guys I have been DYING for a high-waisted one and I think I finally found it. Its the perfect mix between a traditional bikini and a vintage one piece!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Heres another DCXV tee that I love! I paired it with my go-to shorts & leather jacket and topped off the whole look with these red polka dotted pumps I rarely wear these shoes anymore, but felt inspired to rock them. Theyre uncomfortable (which is rare in my shoe collection, usually thats my top priority!), but they photograph so well!

For those of you that are curious, Im loving LA so far! Wondering if anyone knows about blog meet ups in the area? I would love to meet some LA bloggers!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

So this is it folks, the post youve all been waiting for! Ok, well maybe not all of you, but my Dad really wants to see these picts and well, you have to listen to your Dad! I had such a blast driving across the country with my big brother we saw a lot of beautiful scenery, ate some delicious food, and had an incredible journey:

For those of you driving from Nashville to LA, here are my recommendations (mostly food & sight seeing, I didnt have time to go shopping!):

Amarillo, TX: This was a weird place, so we just embraced the crazy. We went to this tourist trap called Big Texan, it was hilarious and dripping in every Texas stereotype!

Albuquerque, NM: If you dont stop anywhere else, you MUST go to Mary & Titos they even won a James Beard American Classic award! Its authentic, delicious, and local.

Phoenix, AZ: La Grande Orange is one of my favorite spots in Phoenix. A friend of mine took me there last time I was in Phoenix and I just had to go back. They have these delicious english muffins that you MUST try!

Flagstaff, AZ: This place is gorgeous and the drive from Flagstaff to San Diego was the most stunning of the entire trip! Flagstaff has a gorgeous downtown area and Im hoping to go back and explore a little more in the winter months (and maybe get in some skiing as well!). We went to a cute little local coffee shop called Macys.

(most people would just go from Phoenix to LA, but we really wanted to make a detour in San Diego!)

San Diego, CA: Oh San Diego, I see many weekend getaways in our future! We went to a fabulous place called Neighborhood (that has a secret bar in the back!) and Isabels Cantina for brunch. I really wanted to explore the fashion scene, but I didnt have time, so Ill definitely update you next I time I visit!

Sorry for the long post, but this was a great experience that I really wanted to share with all of you! Hope you enjoyed the photos & recommendations 🙂

Ring: Melinda Maria, Dress: BCBG Max Azria, Shoes: Steve Madden, Earrings: Vintage, Jacket: Silence & Noise, Belt: French Connection, Bag: Coach

You all know Im a sucker for gorgeous rings and this one by Melinda Maria is my new obsession because I need more emerald in my life! I paired it with this fabulous blue maxi it was a comfortable, breezy outfit for strolling around downtown LA. My brother was in town and we enjoyed a delicious meal at Alma, an amazing little spot that you all need to check out!

Im editing photos from my road trip, cant wait to share those with you as well! Hope youre all having a fabulous week 🙂

Tee: DCXV, Belt: French Connection, Skirt: Oshi, Bracelet: Gifted

That’s right folks, my first GIF! My next few posts are going to be a fun series I shot with the amazingly talented Will Vastine and will feature clothing from one of my favorite Nashville brands, DCXV. Have you guys seen the “I Believe in Nashville” murals around town (for you out of towners, you might remember it from this post)? My friend Adrien Saporiti (owner of DCXV) created that mural and has expanded to a clothing line. This tee is is one of my favorites – what can I say? I’m a sucker for a soft gray tee shirt and pretty much anything with french writing on it. He also started a kickstarter campaign to expand his company – be sure to support if you can!

Also, can I just say, these confetti photos might be some of my most favorite blog photos ever – and that’s saying something, considering I’ve been in the game since 2008!

Saturday Market

Jeans: Imogene & Willie, Jacket: French Connection (here’s a similar one), Shirt: Vintage (you can find one similar here), Ring & Earrings: Margaret Ellis, Belt: American Apparel, Shoes: Lucky Brand (here’s a similar pair)

The weather in Nashville has been absolutely wonderful, so I decided to hop on over to the Franklin Farmers Market with my family on Saturday! From farm fresh produce to fun jewelry, this place was the perfect day to spend a weekend morning. My personal favorites were The Biscuit Love Truck, Baya Designs, and Dozen Bakery. Juice Nashville also sells their product there, but they were sold out so I couldn’t get a photo or a juice (bummer!) – however, they are opening up a new store in the Gulch, so be sure to donate to their kickstarter if you want more juice!

Oh! I also added a few more features on the blog – you can now just hover over an image to pin it, “like” or “retweet” a post at the bottom of each one, and comment with disqus! Let me know if you have any issues, I’m still sorting out getting all of my old comments back on the blog.

How was your weekend?
